La Passion selon SAINT-LUC

T he third gospel after Matthew's and Mark's, The Passion, by Danièle FUCHS written directly in greek by Luke the doctor, the most intellectual but not the least delicate of the four Evangelists, brings out the role of women in the Passion of Christ.
Only a Woman could render all the emotion it contains and pay homage to these "humble daughters of Jerusalem" who accompanied Jesus on his Way of the Cross. With 14 copperplates, colored dabbed by Francine et Jean Cappelle, and 18 solégraphs, Danièle Fuchs, disciple of Dunoyer de Segonzac, expresses through her hand and heart, with a quivering sensibility, the two thousand-years-old message of God's son.
Hand set in foundry type 24 point Garamond, the edition consists of 150 numbered copies on finest papers Moulin du Gué and Vélin d'Arches. The work was printed on Pierre Jean Mathan's press. Each illustration is signed.
It is presented in quarto royal size (25 x 32 cm) on loose leaves in a Bernard Duval box including a sculpture of the Artist, gilded with 22-carat fine gold by Monique Varacka.
